Receptionists
Karen is the head receptionist at Scottsdale Ranch and has helped clients and pets here since 1996. She loves the professional, yet fun, atmosphere at the hospital and enjoys working with the caring veterinarians. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, antiquing and building miniature dollhouses. She shares her home with her cat, Thatch.

Receptionist Susan joined the Scottsdale Ranch staff in 2004 and has more than two decades experience in the animal care field. She is proud of the high quality care offered at the hospital and enjoys the opportunity to learn more about animal health--and to meet new clients and their pets--each day. In her free time, Susan shows her Irish Wolfhound, Bowie. She is a member of the Irish Wolfhound Club of America and the Irish Wolfhound Club of the West Coast. She also shares her home with a Sheltie/Border Collie mix named Nikki and three cats, Scottee, Orangee and Dizzee Lizzee. Her pastimes include reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Maggie has been a receptionist at Scottsdale Ranch since 2006. She has worked in the animal care field since 2000 and loves working with pets. She is proud of the high quality care offered at the hospital and enjoys being part of the caring, professional staff. She shares her home with two cats, Sammie and Pete, and a dog named Caleb. In her spare time, she can be found working on obedience and agility training with Caleb. Her pastimes also include swimming, singing, volleyball, spending time with friends and family, reading and acting.
Elizabeth has worked with clients and pets as a receptionist at Scottsdale Ranch since 2008. She enjoys working in the hospital's professional atmosphere and loves being part of the friendly staff. She is currently working toward a degree in Animal Science. When she's not at school or at work, she enjoys sewing, making jewelry, antiquing and playing with her dogs, Yogi, River and Lucy. She also shares her home with three cats, Lenni, Gary and Eugiene Grey.
Receptionist Lynda has worked with clients and there pets at Scottsdale Ranch since 1999. She has more than 20 years experience in the animal care field and loves meeting all the clients and pets that come into the hospital. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors and especially enjoys hiking. Her other pastimes include going to baseball and football games, reading and gardening, as well as spending time with her pets, a dog named Lily and a cat named Leon.
A receptionist since 2002, Brenda enjoys the caring, compassionate environment at the hospital and loves being part of the hospital team. Brenda enjoys the companionship of her three cats, Benny, Barney and Charlie, three dogs, Davinci, Java and Diego, and a Russian tortoise named Baxter. Outside work, Brenda is a marathon runner and has completed eight marathons total in New York, Hawaii and Arizona. She also enjoys bikram yoga, reading, and cooking vegetarian dishes.
Receptionist Laura is also a certified veterinary technician and has helped care for pets at Scottsdale Ranch since 1997. She most enjoys working with the caring veterinarians and friendly staff. She shares her home with four dogs, a German Shorthair Pointer named Jake, a Miniature Pinscher named Bear and two adopted retired racing Greyhounds, Leavin and King. She and Leavin and King volunteer for the Arizona Adopt-a-Greyhound program and King competes in amateur straight races with Greyhounds. Laura's pastimes also include reading, traveling and going to her summer house in the mountains.
Michelle has worked with clients and pets as a receptionist since 2005. She enjoys working with the friendly staff and the caring, laid-back atmosphere at the hospital. She enjoys dancing, writing music and playing sports in her spare time and shares her home with a cat named Carter and two dogs, Maggie and Sammy.
A receptionist and veterinary assistant at Scottsdale Ranch since 2009, Kristi loves working with clients and meeting the pets that come into the hospital each day. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, horseback riding and relaxing in the cool mountain air of Pinetop with her husband, Matt, and their two children. Kristi's four-legged family members include two Collies, Bodie and Malcolm, two Pugs named Smudge and Blossom, two horses, two goats, chickens, a rabbit and a snake.
